Ekow, I know that Pan African Village is your heartbeat! I would suggest getting some dogs, but I don't know how expensive it is to take care of dogs in Ghana. Security cameras could also be a deterrent, but all of these things are expensive since some are already struggling to put up a fence. We need to come together as a community and help one another. I personally likes the interlocking bricks... They regulate the temperature inside the house better than the cement or concrete blocks.

It’s interesting how the diaspora has many suggestions about how things should work in a country most have never been to and don’t understand the cultural differences and recommendations for a local Ghanaian SMDH. It’s that colonial mindset that prevails. I will be there next month for my plot and additional plots if exiting are not interested in doing their due diligence

Ekow, this is just my opinion...each home needs to install CCTV, that way it will be easier to catch thieves. It also serves as a deterrant.....keep up the good work!

People forget buying the land is only part of the hurdle. They don’t budget for building putting up a fence wall to secure the land

I would like to suggest a few builders give quotes to build the walls in the community but who will give a group discount on building the walls. This way many can be built at the same time but with a discount. This can be part of the package of obtaining the land. You'll simply have in place contracted wall builders ready to go with a group discount. What do you think?

Sorry Ekow I do not agree I have been waiting from last year for my allocation, I want to build straight away, 'Africa Builsing Hub' is selling video cameras that the residents can use to help them with security, If people do not want to build within 6 months then they should wait for a later allocation and those who want to build straight away should be given the land. ps if the material of the fence is expensive then the fence is expensive my friend as you can not have one with out the other.

Grace City,Aburi is a developing area just like Asebu and Pan African Village but will be a gated community so I suggest they should do the same.

The chiefs in Asebu needs to stop giving free lands to African Americans(Akata people)..it’s an insult to the indigenous people of Asebu..some of our Ghanaian chiefs needs to stop being selfish and greedy with their decisions

Kenya Airways was definately the worst for me & I've been flying by myself since i was 13. Flying to Nairobi on a flight that's not even 50% full. I decide to get my own row of seats. I fall asleep with my tablet in my hand, i wake up to a flight attendant trying to STEAL it out of my hand. 🫤 She entered from the opposite end. I look up & a male flight attendant covered my side with a cart so know one would see the theft... It's more to this, the staff can't be trusted either. Exhausting.

Most of the residents of the Pan African village being from Europe, US and other countries, know that security and other services in the municipalities they came from are paid for with property taxes, or in few cases, by homeowners' association (HOA) fees.. If they are not already paying property taxes on their properties, or do not have a HOA, they should either go to the chief and make a proposal for him to start charging them property taxes to fund such needs, or they can set up an HOA and employ round the clock security to patrol the village. Another option would be for them to go to the Ghana Police Service (GPS), and pay for round the clock protection for their village. They should not expect that the chief will come up with the funds to provide security for the village,, or that the GPS will treat them differently. There is crime everywhere, and towns and localities in the US and elsewhere address this using the property taxes they collect from residents.

It would’ve been nice if you’d ask your politicians in Ghana what’s preventing them to do the same thing.

Ekow Simpson, the diasporans have caused some of these problems on themselves because they are all over social media telling how things are so cheap in Ghana and blah, blah, blah. This is causing rising prices which the locals cannot afford. They need to shut their clappers. They are also allowing content creators to put their homes and tour of their homes on social media making them targets for the natives. Everyone needs to stop saying there is Free land in the Asebu PAV. The land is not Free because they have to pay to process the ownership of the land. This should be made clear to the natives so they do not get envious of the Diasporans getting lands for Free and they are not receiving the similar treatment. Asebu PAV should be a gated community and the Residents pay a monthly fee to have Security at the gate. Thieves and Murderers are everywhere and Ghana is no exception so Diasporans need to exercise caution and move in silence. They should be mindful of the people they invite into their private lives.
